    Women Who Were Forced to Prostitution Were Rescued Through 157

    Seven Moldovan women came to Turkey to work but they fell into the hands of human traffickers and they were kept in a house in Eminönü, İstanbul. Women called 157 Helpline and they rescued by the police.

    Deeds Were Signed

    Women whose ages are between 19-22 were forced to sign the deeds that includes 1500 USD debt and the traffickers took their passports. L.D. called 157 Helpline from one of the clients mobile phone. 157 Helpline was established by International Organization for Migration (IOM) in order to rescue the victims of trafficking and gives service 24 hours. L.D. gave the information about her location to157 Helpline operators. Public Order made an operation to the house by the permission of the crown authority and through the information, provided by 157 Helpline operators. Women said that the traffickers had forced them to prostitution during the day and kept them seperate locked rooms at nights. Women thenked to the polices.

    157 Rescued From Slavery

    Three weeks ago, two Moldovan university students came to Turkey by the help of two Moldovan women who offered job in İstanbul. 19 years old, L.D. was closed to a house in Eminönü. L.D. was forced to prostitution and at the first oppurtinity, she called 157 Helpline for victims of trafficking and requested assistance. Previous day, according to the information from 157 Helpline, the police had started the operation to the house in Eminönü. L.D. was found in locked room. Six Moldovan women, who was forced to prostitution, were rescued from the house.
